Intention and interpretation....
"Finding the right solution....is usually a function of asking the right questions." A. Einstein
I find some incredible wisdom in this qoute. We live in a time where, asking certain questions can lead to huge conflagrations of emotions. The applications of "cause and effect" are so watered down due to this that we can hardly ever conclude anything anymore. How can we ever solve anything if we already have pre-concieved notions as to what not to ask....don't even go there.....attitudes. If we can't even ask the questions, are we really looking for the solution...are we solving things or just putting them off with band-aids on compound fractures....leaving the next generation with even more questions, that can't be asked....and leading them also, further from the solution. Is there a point where most people can have a "separation of heart and mind" long enough to just think about the questions without giving over to emotion, the heart. We are in an era of massive communication on a scale never seen before in history. With this comes the ability/inability to communicate across personal levels that this world has never had to face before....and we are doing it poorly, to say the least. There is the innate desire to protect ourselves and "our own". Now, to deny that we are not a harmonious society (America)....is living the lie! Folks, we have problems....big problems. The dialogue between differing political entities has devolved into total chaos. We don't have real debate anymore, and how could we....we can't even ask the questions without being demonized. In any dialogue/debate/discussion, there are two parts to the communication. Intent and interpretation....right now, interpretation rules the day....if some claims and "ist" or an "ic", the whole debate gets thrown out and nothing gets accomplished. This is usually used when one side is not faring well in the debate and it can be traced back to a question....a question that was intended to gain information towards finding a solution....but, it was not favorable to another entity and thus, the interpretation becomes....racism, sexism, anti-semitism, homophobic, etc.....the dialogue falls apart and no solution is found and the problems continue.I can accept that education and experience are not the same thing, and if I cannot experience it....I can educate myself about it. Now, that would not make me equal. Basically, a man can't tell a woman how to think and feel as woman anymore than a woman can tell a man how to think and feel as a man. Education cannot replace the experience. I will never "feel your pain.." or any other cute emotional driven cliche....a "separation of the heart and mind" will have to take place...and yes...feelings will probably get hurt....We don't talk anymore....we yell. This is just a little something to start this concept off with. There will be more to this when I get to "finding and addressing agendas"...which is usually why certain question's are taboo.
