Intention and interpretation....
"Finding the right solution....is usually a function of asking the right questions." A. Einstein
I find some incredible wisdom in this qoute. We live in a time where, asking certain questions can lead to huge conflagrations of emotions. The applications of "cause and effect" are so watered down due to this that we can hardly ever conclude anything anymore. How can we ever solve anything if we already have pre-concieved notions as to what not to ask....don't even go there.....attitudes. If we can't even ask the questions, are we really looking for the solution...are we solving things or just putting them off with band-aids on compound fractures....leaving the next generation with even more questions, that can't be asked....and leading them also, further from the solution. Is there a point where most people can have a "separation of heart and mind" long enough to just think about the questions without giving over to emotion, the heart. We are in an era of massive communication on a scale never seen before in history. With this comes the ability/inability to communicate across personal levels that this world has never had to face before....and we are doing it poorly, to say the least. There is the innate desire to protect ourselves and "our own". Now, to deny that we are not a harmonious society (America)....is living the lie! Folks, we have problems....big problems. The dialogue between differing political entities has devolved into total chaos. We don't have real debate anymore, and how could we....we can't even ask the questions without being demonized. In any dialogue/debate/discussion, there are two parts to the communication. Intent and interpretation....right now, interpretation rules the day....if some claims and "ist" or an "ic", the whole debate gets thrown out and nothing gets accomplished. This is usually used when one side is not faring well in the debate and it can be traced back to a question....a question that was intended to gain information towards finding a solution....but, it was not favorable to another entity and thus, the interpretation becomes....racism, sexism, anti-semitism, homophobic, etc.....the dialogue falls apart and no solution is found and the problems continue.I can accept that education and experience are not the same thing, and if I cannot experience it....I can educate myself about it. Now, that would not make me equal. Basically, a man can't tell a woman how to think and feel as woman anymore than a woman can tell a man how to think and feel as a man. Education cannot replace the experience. I will never "feel your pain.." or any other cute emotional driven cliche....a "separation of the heart and mind" will have to take place...and yes...feelings will probably get hurt....We don't talk anymore....we yell. This is just a little something to start this concept off with. There will be more to this when I get to "finding and addressing agendas"...which is usually why certain question's are taboo.

...John and Jane...
John and Jane are seniors in High School. Both are very popular students and have bright and promising futures. John is being scouted for sports scholarships and Jane is already being offered scholarships in science. They have been involved with each other for just over a year. They have made the descision to have sex....responsible sex. John provides condoms and Jane is providing some spermacide, they have the bases covered. But, lo and behold...Jane becomes impregnated despite their best efforts.
Scenario 1: Jane looks down the road and knows that her future is going to be radically changed. She is not ready for that and knows it is in her best interest to maintain her chosen path. Jane just made a mistake. So, one day Jane just gets in her car....drives about 50 miles to the city and has an abortion. No one has to be notified, so no one is the wiser and Jane just goes on with her life.
Scenario 2: Jane cannot bring herself to have an abortion and end another human life. She goes to John and explains the situation to him as to how she feels. Well, John looks down the road and knows his future would be radically changed. John knows it is in his best interest to maintain his chosen path. So, one day John just gets in his car, travels about 50 miles to the city and has an abortion? No one has to be notified? No one is the wiser? John just goes on with his life?
Now, you do not have to like the way this is laid out....Too bad! Truth has that impact sometimes...get over it! This is the bitter truth about the abortion situation and how ugly of an absolute lie it is. To empower someone over anothers life while having your own personal escape route, is never going to work. And this one is so obvious, sooo obviously flawed.....that you cannot even get it debated in the format I just presented. And this situation is rampant in America!
About ten years ago in the State of Virginia, they had problems with child support payments. The statistics at that time and as to how it applies to the above scenario are as follows: 56-57% of all court ordered child support was not being paid....of that, over 50% were children "born out of wedlock" (this would be the above scenario). Somehow, this equates to a deadbeat Dad...whose access to the same type of choice Jane has....does not exist! Now, I'm no rocket scientist....but I'm not a rock, either!
If pro-choice is about a womans right to choose, leave the man alone....completely. If we are not a part of the overall process...we should not have to answer to any of it! This is not going to sit well and the debate will continue into the next millenia if it has too. I am just pointing out the obvious that will never be brought up for real debate in any MSM format.....never! Because the truth is too obvious.

...Finding solutions...
"Finding the right solution, is usually a function of asking the right questions." A. Einstein
I really liked this quote the first time I saw it! I knew the deeper meaning, it just glared out at me. We do not do this in many situations for reasons that are obvious....bias, agendas, personal interests, etc....and the avenue to persue real debate and ask the real questions that beg to be answered, is faulted by the same biases and agendas....our media.
I have no problem with an imforming entity having a bias as long as they are honest about it. I can respect their right to promote and defend their agendas. What I have a problem with, is the adamance and arrogance of these reporting entities thinking they are above this...when the overwhelming proof is that they are not above it.
There are people who might have issues with the Limbaughs, Hannitys and Savages on the AM dial of radio. This is a good thing....you know where they stand....they are right upfront about it. They are conservatives who debate conservative policies as the better solution to problems in America. Nothing stands in the way of the debate for liberal callers except a busy signal and time allowances for programming purposes.
Now, we know where these radio personalities stand on issues. Is there anyone out there who has any doubt as to what political affiliation Dan Rather leans towards....how about Katy Couric...and do they proudly admit it, ala Hannity and Limbaugh. No, they try to convince us that they have this magical way of pulling themselves out of that because they are Journalists. This is the element of MSM that I and the majority of Americans have a problem with. To show the level of arrogance on their part, they know this and totally ignore the question....just the question....as to whether this is even relevant.
I have seen at least two reports on MSM as to our confidence in them. They were dismal...absolutely dismal. One report had their credibility (26%) just above trial lawyers (22%), the primary reason was bias....bias. Their response....(crickets chirping)....they do not care....they are who they are. I would respect Dan Rather and what he says a whole lot more if he would just admit that bias...just admit that he leans hard left. But, he pontificates his bias like it is what and who America is....and this is unacceptable to me.
An old yiddish saying...."A half truth is a whole lie...". I can't see how MSM continually uses this method when they know that Limbaugh, Hannity, and Savage are right there to call them on it. That is the height of arrogance to me....they will not even address them and just continue to put out a lackluster, one sided, biased informative medium. Even the ratings and sales of their product is declining and they know why....yet, their arrogance is mind boggling.
I have a hard time understanding why the Democratic Parties nominees for President refused to debate on a FOX news channel format. They claimed that FOX was obviously biased (right wing attack machine) that was not worthy. But, they had no problem going on a known "Gay" network and debating predominantly (biased) gay agenda....and this is the Party that thinks it can "bring America together". To me, they just poked a finger in the eye of all conservative Americans. Basically, if you watch FOX news....we don't need you....you're too biased...damaged goods....Hannitized!
Here's the big news about this....MSM is not going to look at it this way. How hard would it be for Chris Matthews or Tim Russert to just bring this up as a question:
"Senator Clinton, don't you think that refusing to debate on FOX news channel might be seen as a slight to a large portion of conservative Americans while there was no problem for your Party to cater a debate to the Gay agenda?"
"Mr. Edwards, is your declining to debate on FOX news a direct message to the people of America who prefer FOX news over the other MSM options? And if so, what are you saying to them....Conservatives need not apply?
"Mr. Edwards, You talked about "two Americas" during the last Presidential campaign and how we needed to bridge this gap....do you really believe refusing to appear on a FOX news debate while endearing yourselves to the Gay agenda and debating on this network is a way to achieve this goal. Is this your plan for "bridging America"?
MSM will never ask the right questions. Neither will any organization that is vested in the fact that there is no solution. Think about it.....once money enters the scene, who wants to stop the money....and with money comes power...and who wants to give up power. Special interest groups have become economic entities now. They want to keep their "corporations" in the S&P (Special & Priveledged) status. This needs to be exposed for what it is anymore, but MSM will not touch their golden calfs....they need news and these special interest groups have always been an economic plus for them.
I know I am not the only one who sees this. I believe that these entities know they are and it is blantantly obvious to most of America now...they just do not care! They are so locked into their power base that they cannot get out now without losing a lot of support (money/power). As long as there are enough Americans who are truly dependant on them....they can continue to get away with it...they just try to increase that dependancy.
"Finding the right solution.....is usually a function of asking the right questions." I just don't think we will see that happen anytime soon....too many agendas, too many special interests. Thanks for your interest!
